Before i delve into actual baking, i wanted to try out baking in a microwave. I’ve always wondered how a microwave cake would turn out. So i followed this recipe (minus the chocolate chips):
- 1 EGG
- 3 TABLESPOONS MILK
- 3 TABLESPOONS OIL
- 3 TABLESPOONS FLOUR
- 4 TABLESPOONS SUGAR
- 2 TABLESPOONS COCOA POWDER
- SPLASH VANILLA EXTRACT
- PINCH SALT
Combine everything in a tall microwave-safe mug, mix well until smooth & no lumps, pop in microwave for 2 minutes and voila! Cake is done!!
The cake is very moist had the consistency of a brownie. Would be great with ice-cream.
The cake turned out better than i expected! I was very pleasantly surprised. It was a success! 🙂
