I wanted to bake some monkey bread but don’t have a bundt pan (yeah i know, i really should go get one if i wanna do more baking!). So i decided to use my muffin tin to bake some monkey muffins instead. Using the same dough for my sweet & savory rolls, i simply rolled the dough into balls and placed them into the muffin cups:
- Preheat oven to 375 F. Lightly grease each muffin cup.
- Roll dough into balls and roll balls in cinnamon sugar. Place three balls into each muffin cup.
- Top muffins with cinnamon butter. Bake 12-15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Remove from oven and immediately drizzle caramel over the top of each muffin.
To be honest i’ve never had monkey bread before. But if this is what it tastes like then i love it! Ooey & gooey, full of cinnamon & caramel flavor. So good! Great for breakfast or dessert. Actually, great for anytime of the day!
