My baking experiment #95 – brownie bites

The weather is cold & wet this entire Thanksgiving weekend. Generally not a good time to go out, so we stayed in and cozied up in front of the TV. After dinner, i had a terrible hankering for chocolate (actually, it’s all the time :P) but i didn’t wanna commit to something too much that i have to eat for several days. So i decided to whip up some brownie bites.

INGREDIENTS: (10 bites)

1/3 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup butter
1 egg
4 Tbsp powdered sugar
3 Tbsp flour

INSTRUCTIONS:

Preheat oven to 400 F. Lightly grease 10 cups of mini muffin tin. Melt chocolate and butter in bowl. Cool slightly. Stir in egg until incorporated. Mix in powdered sugar and flour. Spoon into muffin cups so batter is 3/4 of the way up. Bake 5-7 minutes. Cool slightly and carefully remove from pan. Dust with powdered sugar and enjoy warm.

These brownie bites are super cute & extremely yummy. They are chocolatey and fudgy, what a perfect brownie should be. Not sure if it was a good idea to make them bite-sized as i had difficulty stopping at just one or two. Ok, we finished the entire batch between the two of us. But they were so tasty i almost don’t feel guilty eating so much. Sigh… i guess i’ll just have to make up for this indulgence at the gym. But it’s Thanksgiving weekend, so it’s mandatory to indulge, right? 🙂
