My baking experiment #155 – 2-ingredient chocolate cake

Happy Hump Day! Yes, this is not my usual baking day. I’ve just been extremely busy this past weekend and had no time to bake. Today I decided to make a super simple, easy to whip up, 2-ingredient (yes, only two!) flourless chocolate cake:

  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips, melted
  • 1 large egg

Preheat oven to 350°. Lightly grease ramekin.

Beat egg with electric mixer until frothy. Add melted chocolate and mix until smooth.

Pour batter into ramekin. Bake 10 minutes until done.

There! See how simple it is to make a single-serving chocolate cake?! All it takes is 2 ingredients and 15 minutes and you can enjoy a super decadent chocolate cake. It’s also gluten-free and contains no butter. Dust with some powdered sugar and top with fresh strawberry, or if you feel extra indulgent, enjoy it warm with ice-cream!

Have a great rest of the week, and happy baking! 🙂
