chocolate mousse pie

Happy Thanksgiving! It’s a day of giving thanks, feasting, and spending time with family & friends. While our family is not here, my husband & I were invited to a friend’s house for a thanksgiving lunch.

Since they were making all the food, i volunteered to bring, you guessed it: dessert! And what’s thanksgiving without pie? As i’m not a fan of pumpkin pie, and i am a chocoholic, i made a simple, no-bake, chocolate mousse pie:

  • 24 oreo cookies
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 8 oz chocolate chips
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  1. Finely crush cookies in food processor. Mix in melted butter until evenly combined. Press into bottom and sides of pie plate evenly and firmly. Chill for 30 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, melt marshmallows and milk together over double boiler, stirring frequently. Once marshmallows are melted, remove bowl from double boiler and stir in chocolate until melted and smooth. Allow mixture to cool to room temperature.
  3. Once chocolate is cooled, beat heavy cream with electric mixer until stiff peaks. Fold whipped cream into cooled chocolate until evenly combined.
  4. Pour mixture into chilled crust. Cover and chill pie for at least 2 hours.

This pie is absolutely decadent & delectable! It is made for the true chocoholic: the oreo crust is amazing, and the chocolate mousse is to-die-for. Every bite is pure chocolate bliss. I cannot believe how easy this pie is to make but how utterly delicious it tastes. I think this will be my go-to pie from now on.

I’m so thankful to be able to bake and make yummy sweet desserts for my loved ones. I’m also very thankful to have this blog to share my love of desserts with all you readers out there. Thank you all for reading. I would love to hear your thoughts on this blog, any of the posts, or just your love for baking and desserts.

With that said, enjoy the rest of this wonderful thanksgiving weekend! Keep baking and making this world a sweeter place! 🙂
